About Us
The mission of the DeKalb County Chapter of the 100 Black Men of America, Inc.® is to improve the quality of life in our communities and enhance education and economic opportunities for all African-Americans.
The 100 Black Men of DeKalb County, Inc. (100BMOD) operates as a part of a global movement of men who volunteer their time, talent and resources to uplift and empower their communities.
100BMOD was formed in 1991 by 14 businessmen who saw a need in DeKalb County. Over the years the organization has grown to more than 100 professional members serving children and families across the metropolitan area.
Our organization’s flagship program is the Leadership Academy which was conceptualized in 1992 to target young African American boys who demonstrated high risk factors.
Since then, the program has evolved and now serves boys and girls from middle school through high school graduation and focuses on life and leadership skills development, as well as, intentional mentoring.
