WHAT is the board ELECTION process?

1. Call for Nominations:

  • The 100 BMOD President or Election Committee, sends out a call for nominations to all members.
  • This call will include the specific positions that are up for election, the qualifications required for each position, and the deadline for submitting nominations.

2. Nomination Process:

  • Members can nominate themselves or other qualified members for the open positions.
  • Nominations are typically submitted via email to current President or Election Committee.

3. Candidate Screening:

  • The Election Committee reviews all nominations to ensure that candidates meet the qualifications for the positions they are seeking.

4. Election Process:

  • The 100 BMOD holds a general election at the Member Annual Retreat where all members vote for their preferred candidates.

5. Voting:

  • Voting is typically conducted by secret electronic ballot.

6. Tallying Votes:

  • After the voting period ends, the votes are tallied by the Election Committee.
  • The results of the election are then announced to the membership.

7. Induction of New Board Members:

  • Newly elected board members will be inducted either on the same day as the Membership Annual Retreat or at the next regularly scheduled board meeting, whichever comes first.
